The Ottawa Valley’s education system incorporates facilities within four publicly funded school boards. The Renfrew County District School Board is comprised of 27 elementary schools, seven secondary schools and five alternative schools. TheRenfrew County Catholic District School Board provides 20 elementary schools and two secondary schools. Conseil des écoles catholiques de langue française du Centre-Est, and Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario each operate an elementary and secondary French language school. Pre-school, academic nursery, kindergarten and Montessori Schools are also available.

Above: 25% of all students in Renfrew County have University qualifications, 32% for trades certificates. Almost half of all students currently have college education.

 

The County of Renfrew prides itself on a skilled workforce with its high literacy and numeracy rates. There is also a higher number of people with Trade Certificates than the national average.
